On January 17th, in Brazil the Salvatorians started the Missionary Year with the ceremony of the first vows of two novices, on which a lot of Salvatorians, religious and lay and people from the local communities participated.
In the Vicariate of Venezuela, more exactly in one of the slums of Caracas, the Salvatorian Missionary Year was started with a humble but very nice celebration in which three young men made their first religious vows!
In India, more exactly in the Salvatorian Formation House in Bangalore, the Salvatorians had a very meaningful celebration.
In honor of this special year, on December 13, the Sisters’ Kateri Initiative hosted a presentation by Sr. Carol Thresher.
Salvatorians in Sri Lanka decided to put the spirit of the Salvatorian Missionary Year into practice by spending time with people who are in need of love, care and fellowship.
In partnership with the Instituto Maria Immaculata (IMI) sisters, residing near the Salvatorian Community in Amadeo, Philippines, an annual Medical Mission was held on April 13‑18, 2015 for our Mangyan brothers and sisters living in Sta. Cruz, Mindoro Occidental.
In honor of the Salvatorian Missionary Year 2015, during the British Pro Province Chapter Fr. Michel Coppin SDS of the Belgian Province delivered a homily at St. Joseph’s Parish in Wealdstone.
