Called to be Apostles in a Changing World
Salvatorian Continental Leadership Meeting
Asia/Oceania (Tagaytay City, Philippines) – March/2014
General Objective: To promote the reflection and discussion in a concrete way on Salvatorian Identity, Mission and Formation in the respective continental contexts, in order to help the local leadership develop ideas and point them in the direction to achieve concrete decisions as well as to reflect on other issues raised during the XVIII General Chapter 2012.
The day began with a Morning of Recollection led by Fr. Milton Zonta, Superior General. The participants considered the question “what have you to say about yourself?” from Jn 1:19-34.
This day was a continuation of the topic begun yesterday, “how can we better express the Salvatorian Charism through our ministries and in our mission?”
The participants have passed the mid-point of the gathering. This day was dedicated to considering the topic of initial formation.
This day was another occasion to celebrate our Salvatorian identity. After a morning dedicated to the topic of ongoing or continuous formation, participants spoke about the highlights and shadows in their units.
Today was the last full day of the first Continental Leadership Meeting. The morning was spent with Fr. Chris Kowalczyk, General Consultor, giving the participants information on the renewed website and the new universal email system.
The last day of the Salvatorian Continental Leadership Meeting for Asia and Oceania dawned sunny and warm. The day began with Adoration before breakfast.
