This day was a continuation of the topic begun yesterday, “how can we better express the Salvatorian Charism through our ministries and in our mission?”
After examining the developments in the Society during the era of Vatican II and the recent decisions made at subsequent General Chapters regarding expansion, Fr Agustin noted that expansion has been an important priority. However, the XVIII General Chapter 2012 has added the need to prioritize preparation for mission and financial resources in relation to expansion. Participants in the afternoon were guided in their reflection on these issues from the perspective of fundraising. The session was led by Mr. Arnout Mertens, director of the Salvatorian Office for Financial Aid (SOFIA). The participants were divided into two groups to discuss the two ordinances from the last Chapter in relation to their long-range plans.
