It is the third workshop for formators was organized by the Generalate of the Society of the Divine Saviour. This time the meeting took place in Tagaytaya City (nearby our formation houses). The workshop was attended by 15 formators who came from Vietnam, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, India and the Philippines.
The theme of the workshop was: From being a companion to accompanying others. Each day consisted of communal prayer and Eucharist, presentations, group dynamics, recreation, and visits to formation houses of other congregations. The lecturers were professors and formators from the Philippines: Irma Caumeron SorDS, Xavier Olin SJ, Jordan Orbe SJ. The group dynamics were led by Renato Navarro de Guzman, a diocesan priest and a psychologist and psychotherapist responsible for ongoing formation. The workshop participants met with the novice master and novices of our Society and with formators of the formation house of scholastics of the religious order of the Regular of Somascans as part of their visit and conversation on accompaniment in formation.
The topics of the meeting, the common sharing of our own experience in the field of formation, allowed us to establish an even greater thread of relationship and gave us the impetus to continue with similar meetings.
The next continental workshops for formators will be held for Europe in Krakow (April 2024).
