He was 91 years old and had been professed for 74 years.

Father Helmut Juros, born on 4 August 1933 in Krasiejów. From 1945 he studied at the Salvatorian Gymnasium in Mikołów. In 1949 he entered the Society taking the name Francis and making his first vows on 8 September 1950. He made his solemn vows on 8 September 1954, and was ordained a priest on 17 June 1958, in Krakow.
After his ordination, Fr. Juros continued his education at the Catholic University of Lublin, where he obtained his master's degree in moral theology in 1962. Since then, he taught moral theology at the Salvatorian Major Seminary in Bagno. In 1967 he obtained his doctoral degree at the Catholic University of Lublin and began his scientific work at the Academy of Catholic Theology in Warsaw, where he obtained his habilitation in 1975, title of professor of theological sciences (1987) and humanities (1994), as well as an honorary doctorate from the University of Bonn (1992).
Father Helmut was an influential academic figure, serving as dean, vice-rector and rector. He initiated the Social Sciences Section and headed the Chair of Social Ethics. He actively participated in the Central Commission for Degrees and Titles and in the Social Council of the Primate of Poland.
Fr. Juros was an outstanding academician with an impressive teaching record. Revered for his openness and ability to integrate the academic community, he always supported students and aspiring researchers.
He died in Warsaw on 4 May 2025 at the age of 91, with 75 years of religious life and 67 years of priesthood. He thus fulfilled his own words, which he penned in his letter for admission to the Society in 1949: “I wish, with the help of God's grace and to the extent of my strength, to devote myself to the service of God in this Society as a priest and to persevere in it to the end of my life”.
