Fr. Tadeusz Koncewicz  was born on 22 December 1940 in the village of Brzeżany in the Eastern Borderlands of the Republic of Poland, then occupied by the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. He was the fourth child in the peasant family of Antoni and Antonina, née Majka. After his university studies and professional career as civil engineer, he joined the Society of the Divine Saviour in 1974 and on 8 September 1975, he made his first religious profession and began his seminary studies at the Salvatorian Major Seminary in Bagno. On 8 June 1981, in the Trzebnica Basilica, he received the sacrament of priestly ordination from the hands of Bishop Tadeusz Rybak. Father Tadeusz served the church and the Society in different capacities like teacher, pastor, and spiritual director, in Poland, mainly in the Salvatorian Seminary in Bagno, where many of our confreres where taught by him, but also abroad in the missions. He ended his life pilgrimage on the Solemnity of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul, on 29 June 2022, at the age of 82, in his 48th year of religious life and 42nd year of priesthood. His last farewell took place, a few days later at the parish church in Bagno, where he spent many years as a pastor, lecturer and educator.
