Fr. Kazimierz Oleksy was born on 1 December 1966 in Krakow. After finishing his secondary school education, he decided to enter the Salvatorian novitiate in Bagno. On 8 September 1986, he made his first profession in Bagno. Then from 1986-1992, he studied at the Salvatorian Major Seminary in Bagno. He was ordained a priest on 8 May 1992, in Bielsko. After his ordination, he was assigned as vicar at the local parish in Bagno. In 1996 Fr. Kazimierz was assigned to the community of St. Hedwig, Texas, USA. Later in 1997, he was transferred to Vancouver, Canada. After seven years of pastoral ministry in Canada, in 2004 he was transferred to the American Region of the Polish Province. Fr. Kazimierz completed his earthly pilgrimage on 4 May 2021, in New Jersey, USA at the age of 54. He had been Salvatorian for 35 years and 29 years a priest.
