RIP: 02/05/2021 - Mikołów
Fr. Leszek Nowak was born on 10 October 1940, in the village of Siedlec in the Tarnow district. After his secondary school education, on 7 September 1958, he entered the Salvatorian novitiate in Bagno. He made his first religious profession on 8 September 1959, in Bagno. Then from 1959-1965, he studied philosophical and theological disciplines at the Salvatorian Major Seminary in Bagno. He was ordained to the presbyterate on 7 June 1965, in Trzebnica. After his ordination, he served the church and the province in different pastoral activities in various places. Due to his deteriorating health, in 1999 he was transferred to the religious house in Krakow. In 2016 his health deteriorated so much that he required daily specialist care. As a result, he was transferred to the Salvatorian Senior Citizen House “Salwator Park” in Mikolów. Fr. Leszek will remain in the memory of his confreres as a well-red and talented preacher and retreat leader. On 2 May 2021, he ended his earthly pilgrimage at the age of 80. He had been religious for 62 years and priest for 56 years.
