INTEGRATIVE COURSE FOR SALVATORIAN FORMATORS DURING THE “YEAR OF BLESSED FRANCIS JORDAN”
The promulgation of our Ratio Formationis Salvatorianae and the “Year of Blessed Francis Jordan” within the pandemic situation have been provoking to enter into a deeper process of spiritual discernment. In other words, we find ourselves asking, what the Holy Spirit is inspiring us to do in our discernment process today? This truly requires engagement of our whole person to respond constructively to this formative experience – the so called docibilitas.
Therefore, one of the Generalate’s proposals for this special „Year of Blessed Francis Jordan” is a course which encourages formators to attune themselves to this sacred voice within them. The goal of this course is to focus on our Salvatorian Formation that is articulated in the Ratio. It is to challenge our personal and communal models of formation and become people formed in consonance with the spirit and apostolic mission of Francis Mary of the Cross Jordan.

Integrative Course
Fr. Francis Jordan School for Formators
The school aims to prepare Salvatorian religious for work at different stages of formation: religious and priestly formation. The process of this preparation will be focused on the personal formation of formators in the dynamics of group and individual work. The School’s program is based on the main anthropological and theological themes of the apostolic exhortations “Vita Consecrata” and “Pastores Dabo Vobis” by St. John Paul II, as well as on “Verbum Domini” by Benedict XVI. The main themes of the Ratio Institutionis Generalis SDS are taken into account as well. The proposed formation will have an integral character, so that it would embrace the integral concept of a person, in all his dimensions and spheres. All the formation efforts are bound by praying the Word of God in the dynamics of lectio divina. Acquiring and experiencing the proposed contents will be implemented on three levels: human, spiritual and intellectual.
Fr Francis Jordan, the founder of the Salvatorian, will patron of this event.
