Today, Father Milton led the participants in a morning of “recollection” with a meditation on Jn 1:19-34.
He noted that the Founder considered John the Baptist as a model of who and what the Salvatorian is and is not: not the Messiah but one who announces salvation in the way he lives and ministers. In the afternoon Fr. Agustín Van Baelen SDS, General Mission Secretary, presented a history of the Society’s mission and asked the participants to consider its core elements, how we can guarantee and improve the expression of our mission in this context, and what dimensions need focus in our formation for mission.
