The day began with the celebration of the Eucharist presided by Fr. Milton Zonta SDS, Superior General. During this first day, after introductions and organizational matters, Fr. Milton addressed the thirty participants saying “With this Continental Meeting, we have the possibility to reflect and respond to the call of the spirit of God who leads us to glimpse new horizons for the future of the Society of the Divine Savior.” Also in attendance are Br. Michael French FSC, facilitator, and Ms. Ana Blázquez, Fr. Adam Teneta SDS, and Ms. Marita Wilczek serving as translators in Spanish, Polish, and German respectively. Fr. Milton posed three key questions for the Meeting: What identifies us as Salvatorian religious in this continent? How can we better express the Salvatorian charism through our ministries? How can we be better prepared for living the charism and carry out our ministries?
