RIP: 03/09/2020 - Dar es Salaam
Br. Vincent Mrope was born on 6 June 1946 and joined the Society of the Divine Saviour through the then Mission in Tanzania, professing his first vows on the Feast of Saint Joseph, one of the patrons of our Society, on 19 March 1974. He was the first Tanzanian and even the first African confrere in our Society. During his religious life he got excellent professional training becoming a wonderful carpenter. Many of the benches of Salvatorian Churches in Tanzania, doors and closets of the sacristies, beautifully decorated are a result of his artistically talented hands. Br. Vincent passed away on 3 September 2020 in Dar es Salaam while undergoing treatment.
