Fr. Karl Niederer was born at Tübingen on 22 February 1944 and made his first profession in the Society of the Divine Saviour after having concluded his novitiate on 1 May 1966 in Passau. Subsequently he studied Theology at the Philosophical and Theological College of Passau and was ordained a priest at Bad Wurzach on 2 July 1972. Fr. Karl was mainly apostolically active as an educator and teacher in Hörbranz-Lochau and Bad Wurzach. He was for several years also the Rector of the Sanctuary of Gottesberg at Bad Wurzach. He died at Elisabethenkrankenhaus in Ravensburg on 23 March 2020, after having been for 53 years a Salvatorian.
