RIP: 08/02/2020 - Videira
Fr. Claudino (Irineu) Vanz was born at the village of Lagoa Vemelha, Rio Grando do Sul on 4 July 1933. He joined the Society of the Divine Saviour through the Brazilian Province professing his first vows on 2 February 1957. After having finished his Theology studies, he was ordained a priest on the Feast of Saint Augustin, 28 August 1964. Fr. Claudino worked the main part of his apostolic active life in pastoral parish work. He died on 8 February 2020 in the Salvatorian community at Videira in Santa Catarina, at the age of 86, having been a Salvatorian for 63 years.
