Process for the Beatification of the Servant of God
Father Francis Mary of the Cross Jordan

Pope_at_Tomb

After his death Father Jordan was buried in the parish church in Tafers, Switzerland. In 1956 his earthly remains were exhumed and transferred to the Salvatorian Motherhouse in Rome, where he spent a significant part of his life. The process for his beatification was introduced in 1942.

At present the process for his beatification is conducted by Father Stephan Horn, SDS, Postulator.  The Congregation for the Causes of Saints gave their positive opinion concerning documentation on the life and virtues of Father Jordan (Positio), and on January 14, 2011, Pope Benedict XVI authorized the Congregation to publish the decree on the heroicity of virtues.

A process on a presumed miracle through the intercession of Father Francis Jordan has been held in the diocese of Savannah, Georgia, USA, and all the documentation has been submitted to the Congregation for the Causes of Saints.

Many cases of graces received through the intercession of Father Francis have been noted so far. Information on any graces received through the intercession of Father Jordan should be directed to:
